Business Partner and Portfolio Manager, Private Wealth-HYBRID

Full-Time, PERM

Location: Mississauga - Working Hybrid 2 times per week in office

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Salary: Up to $200K Base Salary $100K + Variable Compensation around $100K + Benefits

Our client is currently seeking a Business Partner/Portfolio Manager, Private Wealth, someone who is eager and passionate about transitioning into a Portfolio Manager position. Someone who is solution focused, knowledgeable in the investment industry, motivated to cultivate and manage relationships with high net worth clients.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with high net worth clients
  • Manage and maintain client annual review schedule keeping stakeholders informed
  • Effectively manage marketing efforts for Private Wealth sales including with Advisor recognition and rewards
  • Prepare proposals and accompanying investment policy statements
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed of the progress of client’s business and program details
  • Facilitate on-site events including Accreditation and Due Diligence for new advisors
  • Identify and propose improvements to the Private Wealth program utilizing a continuous improvement approach
  • Managing internal department sales, pipeline reporting, and expense filing

Skills Required

  • English at a professional level (spoken/written)
  • Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Morningstar Direct, Salesforce or other CRM software is an asset
  • Proficiency in Office 365
  • Relationship-building skills with a commitment to establishing long-term relationships
  • Ability to acknowledge and own inquiries through to resolution
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with various audiences at all levels of the organization
  • Process-driven with ability to use strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively to deal with tight deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think critically and use sound judgment

Qualifications

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation is an asset

Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years financial services experience specifically investment management and/or retail advisor experience with offering managed money

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a specialization in business or marketing or a related field
