Bilingual Event Planner
Part Time, Temporary
EARN EXTRA $$$
Location: (100% Remote) – Can live anywhere in Ontario.
Hours: Mon-Fri – 8:30am-4:45pm - (15 hours/wk.)
Salary: $36/hr.
Company: Our client is a leader in the Education industry. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a talented Bilingual Event Planner to their team of professionals.

Responsibilities
Job Summary:
You will work with a team of 7 staff to prepare for and lead the organization during a 3-day conference in mid-February in Edmonton.
Duties:
- Hotel booking for all participants (get and analyze quotes from 3 different hotels).
- Boardroom booking (AV equipment) for sessions.
- Booking Catering.
- Budget tracking (update a tracking sheet).
- Planning committee organization (schedule the meetings, draft the agendas, draft summaries, track follow up, etc.)
- Preparing communication materials (drafting emails, memos, tracking responses, ….using company templates).
- Managing the participants list (about 70).
- Programming: prepare the schedule of events and the program.
- Workshops planning (about 10-15 sessions): contact potential workshop leaders and respond to their questions.
Qualifications
- Fluently bilingual – English/French – Spoken and Written.
- Post-secondary education.
- 2-3 years’ experience in Event Planning.
- Excellent computer skills, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Very high attention to detail.
- Must be willing to travel to Edmonton in February.
