Bilingual Senior Insurance Broker (Construction Industry)
FULL TIME, PERMANENT
Location: (Hybrid role – 2 days a week in office) – Toronto
Hours: Mon-Fri – 9am-5pm - (40 hours/wk.)
Salary: UP TO - $120K

Responsibilities
Job Summary:
In this role, you will develop and market the company’s product offerings to businesses in the Construction Industry. You will do an evaluation and analysis of the customer's insurance needs and requirements, as well as assesses and negotiate quotes based on exposure, risk, and financing.
Duties:
- Leading brokering support on day-to-day account management services with relation to constructional policy placements for an existing portfolio of clients across various industries.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, coverage limits and pricing with carriers and wholesalers;
- Developing and nurturing key relationships with clients, showing a high level of attention to detail required in solving complex risk issues;
- Providing technical advice to ensure accurate and efficient production of all client-insurer and policy related documentation;
- Managing account concerns or issues encountered and successfully addressing small to complex problems in a timely manner, applying judgment as to when and what to escalate up to senior colleagues
- Actively developing new business with multiple internal and external (broker partners) teams in target industry(s);
- Developing and managing a sales funnel in conjunction with the annual sales target of the firm.
- Expanding business endeavors through the recognition of market trends and growth opportunities;
- Building relationships with professional counterparts at client organizations.
- Interacting regularly with clients and underwriters;
- Striving to provide market-leading service and solutions for all clients.
- Coordinating, training and supervising the activities of Associate Brokers and Junior Brokers.
- Monitoring the collection of receivables.
- Conducting policy and binder reviews to ensure terms and conditions are accurately reflected.
- Gathering, reviewing and coordinating renewal / project submission information.
- Conducting insurance contract reviews (Lenders, EPCM, suppliers).
- Performing insurance audits.
- Creating pre and post renewal/placement reports, underwriting submissions and placemats.
- Conducting and analyzing client research to gain an understanding of client business.
Qualifications
- Fluently bilingual – English/French (Spoken and Written).
- University graduate.
- 8 years’ experience as an Insurance Broker dealing specifically with the Construction
- Must be fully licensed (RIBO Designation).
- Strong computer skills.
